Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past as well as traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of operas and tangos. In addition, she is a fan of performing in dramatic shows. She started singing and studying songs with her mother and commenced more serious singing training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera chamber and choruses. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. She also sings in solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she's committed to numerous community projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching in the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her love and appreciation for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations to keep this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
